Tantalum Niobium Alloy Tube and Pipe Description
Tantalum is ductile and resistant to acid corrosion. It can easily melt and conduct heat and electricity. Niobium is often alloyed with tantalum for applications that need heat-resistant and combustion equipment.
Ta-Nb alloys have the best corrosion resistance of any tantalum alloy. It is resistant to acid-base solutions, chlorine gas, and chloride. The content of Nb in the alloy can be determined by the mass fraction of the acid.
Ta-40Nb is a new alloy that costs less and is mostly used in the chemical industry.
There are two ways to process tantalum and tantalum alloy tube or pipe. The first is to make seamless tube by extruding tube blank, and the second is to make welded tube by drawing process after inert gas tungsten arc welding.
SSC offers tantalum and tantalum alloy tube and pipe, including both seamless and welded types. Welded tubes and pipes are made of tantalum or tantalum alloy strips and foil. Welded tubes can have thin walls and big openings.
Tantalum and tantalum alloy tubes and pipes are often used in chemical industry, atomic energy, and aerospace.
Tantalum and tantalum alloy tubes and pipes, like Ta-2.5W Tube, Ta-10W Tube, and Ta-40Nb Pipe, are better at resisting high temperatures and corrosion than other materials. Tantalum and tantalum alloy tubes are mostly used to make reaction vessels, heat exchangers, pipes, and thermocouple pipes for chemical processes.
Tantalum tubes with a <5mm diameter can also be called tantalum capillaries. This is only available for pure tantalum. We can also make tantalum capillary with small heights, which will be tantalum marker bands.
