Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element Description
MoSi2 heating elements are manufactured by powder metallurgy. They contain molybdenum disilicide and additives to prevent crystallization. Because MoSi2 is stable at 1800°C(3270°F), it has a better temperature performance than other types of heating elements. The MoSi2 element is resistant to oxidation because it forms a protective layer of quartz or glass that will be re-formed when it is heated.
O-shaped heating elements made of molybdenum disilicide are known for being durable and reliable at high temperatures. It was made for furnaces used in factories and labs. It can withstand oxidation in the hot air where they work. Customers can choose different types of things based on how big their furnaces are.
MoSi2 devices have a low resistance and are good at resisting heat. It can be used under very high watt loads, unlike metal heating elements. MoSi2 resistors can stay at a certain temperature for a long time because they can't oxidize at high temperatures. Even new and old components can be used in the same furnace.
