Medical Titanium Mesh Description

Titanium has excellent strength retention in temperatures up to 800 K, is 30% stronger than steel, and is twice as strong as aluminum. It is also lightweight (50% lighter than steel) and demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance. The two most useful properties of titanium are corrosion resistance and the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element.

Titanium is widely used in surgical operations due to its high stiffness, low density, corrosion resistance, and good biocompatibility. Titanium mesh, as its application product, has unique characteristics as a GBR barrier membrane for bone augmentation. Titanium mesh has good mechanical properties, its high strength and stiffness enable space support for osteogenesis, its stability is necessary to maintain bone graft volume during wound healing, and the elasticity can reduce the oppression of oral mucosa. Medical titanium mesh has good biocompatibility and can be compatible with tissues.

Medical Titanium Mesh Properties

● Easily molded and cut; can be applied close to the implanted surface.

● High strength, toughness, and impact strength

● Can be inserted into a drainage tube without impacting drainage properties.

● Paramagnetically adaptable; compatible with CT, MRI, and DSA.

Medical titanium mesh also has strong compression performance and good histocompatibility. After being implanted into the human body, fibroblasts grow into the pores of titanium mesh, integrating into the organic matter with positive calcification and ossification tendencies. Medical titanium mesh is also an ideal cranioplasty material.
