Molybdenum Foil Description

Molybdenum melts at 2620°C. Usually, people use it for things that need it to stay stable at very high temperatures, like 1900 degrees Celsius.

Molybdenum starts to melt at temperatures between 800 and 1200 degrees Celsius, depending on how hard it is when it is rolled, forged, or swaged.

The recrystallization at high temperatures reduces its mechanical properties, such as UTS, hardness, and toughness. Adding small amounts of things like zirconium, titanium, boron, and rare earth can make molybdenum alloys stronger.

The most important molybdenum alloy is called TZM and it has small amounts of titanium and zirconium. Molybdenum alloy is used for making parts that work well at high temperatures because it has better strength. In these applications, people often use TZM because it is easier to weld than pure molybdenum.

SSC makes very pure molybdenum foil and sheets in many different thicknesses and sizes for many different industrial uses. They are very good at it.

Molybdenum foil is a type of molybdenum that is used in many things like electronics, airplanes, light sources, vacuum furnaces, heat shields, molybdenum boats, and molybdenum furnaces.
