Barium Zirconate Description
Barium zirconate is an off-white powder, insoluble in water and alkalies, and slightly soluble in acid.
Barium zirconate has excellent dielectric properties, temperature characteristic and chemical indicators. It is widely used in ceramic capacitors, PTC thermistors, filter, microwave device, plastic, welding materials, brake pads, and performance improvement of the organic matter.
Barium zirconium oxide is involved in the preparation of its nano powder, which finds application in the gas sensing performance of thick films especially with ammonia gas. Copper(II) oxide doping with yttrium-doped barium zirconate is used as an electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cell.
