Titanium Carbonitride Description
Titanium carbonitride powder (Ti2CN) combines the advantages of both TiC powder and TiN powders. It exhibits high melting point, high hardness, wear resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., and has good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and chemical stability.
Titanium carbonitride nanoparticles (Ti2CN), nanodots or nanopowder are high surface area particles. Nanoscale titanium carbonitride particles are typically 10-100 nanometers (nm) with specific surface area (SSA) in the 100-130 m2/g range. Nano titanium carbonitride particles are also available in passivated and ultra high purity and high purity and coated and dispersed forms. Nanofluids are generally defined as suspended nanoparticles in solution either using surfactant or surface charge technology. Nanofluid dispersion and coating selection technical guidance is also available. Surface functionalized nanoparticles allow for the particles to be preferentially adsorbed at the surface interface using chemically bound polymers.
