Ti-17 Titanium Alloy Description
Ti-17 titanium alloy, also known as Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Mo-4Cr alloy (UNS R58650), is an alpha-beta wrought alloy that has high tensile strength, good fracture toughness, good crack growth/fatigue resistance, high hardenability, and wide forging temperature. Its maximum operating temperature reaches 427℃. It is used as a high strength deep hardening alloy for compressor discs and other large components. Ti-17 Titanium Alloy can be processed in the beta region or the alpha + beta region. The Ti-17 alloy has a higher tensile and creeps strength than Ti-6Al-4V.
