Ammonium Molybdate Tetrahydrate Powder Description
Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate powder is generally immediately available in most volumes. High purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered.
Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate is a white to off-white powder. It is soluble in water, acid, and alkali, but insoluble in alcohol. It is a high purity compound and can be used in gravimetric precipitation analysis, particularly phosphate, silicate, arsenate and lead.
Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate powder is mainly used as a catalyst in the petroleum industry, and in the metallurgical industry to prepare molybdenum. It is a raw material for the manufacture of ceramic glazes, pigments, and other molybdenum compounds. In addition, it can also be used to prepare molybdenum oxide.
When heated, ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate will begin to release its waters of hydration (above 90 ℃) and decompose into ammonia and other molybdate derivatives (above 190℃) .
