Zirconium Crystal Bar Description
Zirconium is highly corrosion resistant with its dense oxidized surface, the same as Ti but even better. There are about 2% of Hf in Zirconium by nature, and it's considered harmless for most of the applications except for nuclear projects. Both Zr and Hf share many properties and can be applied to the nuclear industries, however, they contain different properties in neutron capture. As a result, they must be separated through liquid extraction or distillation of molten salt. Both of these processes are expensive.
We provide high purity zirconium crystal bars in two forms: one with low hafnium (<0.03%) or another with high hafnium (<4.5%). Zirconium crystal bars are usually used for zirconium-based amorphous, semiconductor, and optical coatings. High purity zirconium crystal bar with low hafnium can be used in nuclear reactors. Zirconium crystal bar is also the raw material of high purity zirconium sheet, zirconium wire, and zirconium sputtering target.
We also provide zirconium crystal bar milled chips.
