Product Description

Tungsten Lanthanum Alloy (W-La) is a high-performance tungsten-based material doped with lanthanum oxide (La₂O₃), which enhances mechanical strength, thermal stability, and machinability compared to pure tungsten. This alloy is widely used in high-temperature environments, vacuum applications, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) electrodes.

The addition of La₂O₃ particles refines the tungsten grain structure, providing excellent creep resistance, superior ductility, and better oxidation resistance. W-La is commonly used in welding electrodes, aerospace components, and high-temperature furnace parts due to its outstanding wear resistance and thermal conductivity.

Features & Properties

High-Temperature Stability – Withstands 2,500°C+ applications
Excellent Creep Resistance – Maintains strength at elevated temperatures
Improved Ductility – Easier to machine than pure tungsten
High Electrical Conductivity – Ideal for electrodes & vacuum applications
Better Arc Stability – Used for welding & plasma cutting electrodes
Oxidation & Corrosion Resistance – Extended lifespan in extreme conditions
