Lithium Tantalate Wafer Description
Lithium tantalate (LiTaO3), also called LN crystal, is a type of crystal that can do many things. Lithium tantalate wafer has both chemical and mechanical stability and it also has a high optical damage threshold. LiTaO3 wafers are good for SAW devices and optical applications.
SSC produces high purity single crystal lithium tantalate wafers for optoelectronics applications. Our standard wafer, sizes range from 25.4 mm (1 inch) to 300 mm (11.8 inches), can be produced in various thicknesses and orientations with polished or unpolished sides and can include dopants. SSC can produce most materials in high purity and ultra-high purity forms. We can also produce materials to customer specifications upon request, as well as custom compositions for commercial and research applications and new proprietary technologies.
