Molybdenum Powder Description
SSC specializes in producing high purity molybdenum powder with the smallest average grain sizes. Molybdenum powder is made from ammonium paramolybdate or calcined MoO3. It's a gray metal powder with a consistent color and no visible imperfections. It is a raw material used to make molybdenum deep-processed products.
Molybdenum powder is very pure and doesn't break down at temperatures below 400 degrees Celsius. Molybdenum powder is dark gray in color and has the advantages of low oil absorption rate, low hardness, small abrasive value, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, good dispersion, etc. It is often combined with other substances to make it stronger and resist corrosion at high temperatures. Molybdenum is often used for making steel alloys, high strength alloys, and superalloys.
Molybdenum powder with an average particle size of >2.0um is usually called regular or fine powder. You can also buy coarse powder, granulated molybdenum, and spherical powder.
