Manganese Powder Description

Manganese is a lustrous and steel-gray metal. It resembles iron, but is harder. In its pure form, manganese is too brittle to fabricate.

In cold water, manganese is chemically reactive and decomposes slowly. While heated, manganese decomposes more rapidly.

Manganese can greatly improve the strength, wear resistance, hardness, and many other qualities of steel. Pure manganese metal is ferromagnetic only after special treatment. It forms highly ferromagnetic alloys when combined with aluminum, antimony or copper.

Electrolytic manganese powder is produced from stabilized electrolytic manganese cathode deposit.
